Emergencies

In the event of a life-threatening emergency (e.g. choking and severe breathing problem) call 9-1-1. Please call us after to let us know what happened and to obtain a referral from your insurance company.

If your child is exposed to
poison, please call Lifeline at (585) 275-3232.

For more information on poison control, refer to the Poison Control Center.

For minor injuries, we can frequently provide you with first aid instructions over the phone, and decide if your child needs to be seen in our office or in the emergency room. If your child has a cut, we can suture, glue, or tape the cut in our office. If your child needs to go to the emergency room, we will generally refer you to either Rochester General Hospital or Golisano Children's Hospital at Strong.
